Cumbrian Ales Brewery Visit
Furness CAMRA visit to Cumbrian Ales for a look around the Brewery and the amazing hospitality of Roger, Steph and Josh (The Brewer) made this afternoon another memorable trip to present our Brewery of the Year 2026. Not only did we get to sample some of their beers, we got an informative view around the Brewery, lunch and as a special bonus, we got to see the local Ospreys fishing in Esthwaite Water, which is a stone's-throw from the the Brewery. We also got to meet Godiva, the Brewery Duck (I am not joking). We all left with a present and it was not even Christmas!

Strands Beer Festival
A pleasant trip out to the 2025 Strands Beer Festival in Nether Wasdale and this time in glorious weather (not that most of the previous trips were in bad weather) but welcome all the same.

Chorley Trip
Furness CAMRA members braved the rail trip and a minibus to visit a number of venues in Chorley on 8th March to sample some excellent ales. The trip included a number of Brewery Taps including Rivington, Black Edge, Bank Top, Ben's Brewery and Escape Brewery so a good time was had by all!

J J Crossfield in Arnside (a couple of photos stitched together to show all the happy faces!)
A Tuesday evening visit to J J Crossfield in Arnside to meet with the owners and to sample some of the excellent Lancaster beers including the award-winning Lancaster Black was well worth braving the trains and winter weather. The photo is a simple panorama shot just to show the happy crowd enjoying their beers.
